Times Ticking began in 1983 as a retail store and repair center for watches and clocks.
We have expanded over the years to more retail stores and a separate repair center that accepts clocks from all over the world. We have personalized customer service, which we are very proud of, and feel that this is what sets us apart. We have an extremely high customer satisfaction rate and also a high return customer rate.
We know that your Seth Thomas Clock is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert clockmakers strive to make sure your clock can be worn for many years to come.
Not only can we take preemptive measures to keep your clock running for a long time, but we can restore clocks that have seen better days. We are willing to hunt for rare parts. We have done many repairs that others have given up on. No job is too big or too small and we can do any repair on any clock. Our repairs can be as simple as a tune up, bushing replacement, or polish, and can be as complicated as a dial refinish, a pinion repair, a movement clean and overhaul and even a complete restoration.
We have a simple process for mailing your clock to us, our estimates are free too.
If you do not want your clock repaired at that time your clock will be returned to you.
You are responsible to provide a credit card for costs related to shipping and handling back to you.
The most common problems we see with clocks are worn mainsprings, worn out pinions, broken crystals, general wear and tear, and dead movements. Repair on a movement can be time consuming and labor intensive, therefore, please allow proper time to repair. The only time we repair a quartz movement is when a replacement is not available any longer. Other common repairs include a broken bushing, hands not aligned with numbers, hands that have come loose. Whether your clock repair is common or rare, we will be able to fix it for you.
The most common problems we see in mechanical clocks are broken crystals, general wear and tear, and a non-working movement. This type of movement requires a full-service clean and overhaul which consists of taking the entire movement apart, clean each tiny piece in a ultrasonic cleaner, re oil, re assemble and put back together, there may be damaged parts that will be determined during your free estimate. Other common repairs to all mechanical clocks are broken bushings, or numbers, markers or hands that have come loose. Whether your mechanical repair is common or vintage rare, we will be able to fix your clock for you.
